I have been busy with other personal matters, and have been wanting to get back to blogging on here.
I am still recycling my plastic, glass, cardboard, and plastic bags. I have it down pretty well, and even my visitors know that I recycle and they co-operate well. I have not found anyplace to take my electronics. The only places I have found are ones that havea limit on how many items you can bring, and sometimes they charge a fee to bring things in. I have not had any luck finding any place that fits my needs.
I am still driving my truck conservatively, and driving the motorcycle when it is nice enough outside.
I am putting up a link to another site that also has some good ideas to help conserve energy.

Well, the phase #1 of recycling my plastics is going well. I have found a few more plastic containers that I can recycle, and that is good news. I am also noticing a difference already this week when I took my trash out. Phase #2 is proving to me more difficult than I had expected.
When I took my trash out this week, I had almost half the trash than I normally take out. It may have been a little more than half than normal, but I have definitely noticed a huge decrease in what I put out there. I am starting to see why people recycle. More...

Based on the information on the sites, I found out that I can recycle a lot in my area. The best part about it, is that most of the everyday stuff has a collection area near where I do my normal grocery shopping. That is excellent, it means I don't have to drive my gas guzzler anyplace extra to drop off my recyclables.
So, I have purchased four 21 gallon bins for my purposes. I have one for plastic bottles and containers, one for paper, one for plastic grocery bags, and one for overflow. I am sure the plastic containers will go into the overflow. I have found a couple of very convenient, and out of the way places for my containers, and I am comfortable with my decisions. Now on to the next phase. More...

Recycling is usually a good place to start in going green. Wow, I am floored at what can be recycled. Although I went to several sites (listed below in the resources). I have found a lot of extremely helpful information from Earth911, in fact that is the site I grabbed that nice recycling logo from (it's a secret, don't tell). What I have realized is that I will have to do a lot more research to have be in a complete recycling mode. I have found out that there is a bunch of things that I can recycle, but I need to work one step at a time. More...
